Networking and Sharing of Knowledge
The North American Taiwanese Medical Association (NATMA) brings together health professionals of Taiwanese descent from across North America and Taiwan. Our aim is to not only foster a sense of community and support among our members, but also to make a meaningful and positive impact in our world and the communities we serve.
Support Taiwan
The North American Taiwanese Medical Association (NATMA) was founded in 1984 by a group of Taiwanese physicians residing in North America who were passionate about supporting Taiwan and preserving Taiwanese culture by serving as the healthcare industry voice for Taiwan outside of Taiwan. Today, the organization has grown to include over 1,500 health professionals. Our voice has become increasingly influential with our message of "Taiwan Can Help" and "NATMA Can Help.
International Medical Missions
The North American Taiwanese Medical Association (NATMA) has organized short-term medical and dental missions to various countries around the world, including Haiti, Grenada, Costa Rica, Panama, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Belize, Myanmar, Cambodia, Paraguay, and Honduras. In addition to providing free medical care, medications, surgical operations, and dental care to underserved populations, NATMA has also offered medical education to local universities through its highly regarded academic medical teaching teams. These missions have not only helped to improve the health of individuals, but also strengthened NATMA and Taiwan's diplomatic relationships with the host countries.
