Medical Missions Committee

The NATMA international medical mission is the most distinguished achievement and activities sanctioned by NATMA. Our volunteer members have contributed in Haiti, Grenada, Costa Rica, Panama, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Belize and Myanmar before. We serve underprivileged people by offering medical care, free medicine, medical lab, as well as providing medical education.
Furthermore, by our tremendous efforts, the medical mission will enhance diplomatic relationship between our motherland, Taiwan, and her friendly countries. Along with providing humanitarian aid to those in need, we concurrently tour beautiful countries and experience their diverse cultures.

NATMA HONDURAS MEDICAL MISSION in 2018

NATMA international medical mission team will visit Honduras from April 14 to 22 in 2018. It
will be the first medical mission to this beautiful country. Honduras is one of most important Taiwanallied country in Central America with long history of supporting our motherland. NATMA had had
very successful medical mission trips to Panama, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Belize, and
Guatemala in Central America since 2006. Every member of medical team was awarded and
appreciated by people and government authority of host counties. Honduras is the 2nd largest country,
behind Guatemala, in Central America, but the sixth poorest county in Latin America, 50% of the
population is living below the poverty line in 2010. Her south border is Nicaragua, west border is
Guatemala and El Salvador, and north border is the beautiful Caribbean Sea. Her size is about 3.3 times
of Taiwan's size. There are about 8.7 million people. Honduras has a rich and distinctive culture from
the long mix of elements from Spain and the native Maya people. Her Mayan relic and beautiful
landscape made by mountains, low land jungle, lakes, and ocean beaches attract more and more visitors
from US and Europe recently. The Bay Islands in Caribbean Sea sit on the 2nd largest coral reef in the
world.
The health ministry of Honduras and Taiwan Ambassador of Honduras Alejandro Huang welcome
our visit arduously. We need primary care providers, surgeons,dentists, acupuncturists, pharmacists,
nurses, volunteers with mercy heart.
We like to recruit medical staff who love peace and are dedicated to medical care to the poor. You
are urged to join this noble medical mission. The participants in previous NATMA medical missions are
welcome back particularly.
